Competition is an exciting part of the barbershop world that helps keep us focused on raising the bar of performance excellence. Every year the choruses and quartets of each Sweet Adelines International region come together in a spirit of lighthearted contest, strutting their stuff and showing their top form. We root for each other, cheer each other on, and once the medals have been handed out, we sing and party into the night!
Regional Every year in March or April Island Hills
International Winners of all of the Regional contests -- and a few "wildcards" -- gather together at International Competition. In 2011 the International competition will be held in Houston, Texas from October 18-22. You can view the complete contest on a live webcast on the Sweet Adelines International website. This is the ultimate female barbershop competition -- not to be missed!
